Ron Moule died, aged 100, in October 2019. His daughter, Jenny Morley, came across this cutting from 2009. She recently became a member of Central Essex BC and so the ‘find’ brought great delight for her and Central Essex members.
Jenny remembers that her father, a member of Clockhouse Bowling Club, introduced the Clockhouse Trophy competition which has been such a success over the years.
The rules were changed last year to allow a limited number of ladies to take part . . and this coming season Jenny hopes to be one of those players for Central Essex.
Also, for 2020 a friendly match between the two clubs will take place, a new fixture, in memory of Ron.
